Arima is a Toronto-based marketing intelligence platform that helps brands and agencies turn audience and market data into smarter media decisions — from planning to measurement.

The Challenge

Arima's product pages relied on generic graphics that failed to visually communicate what each product actually did. With multiple products sharing a similar look, users couldn't grasp each product's value at a glance.

My goal

Design a hero banner system where the top banner alone could signal what the service does — while keeping every page visually consistent under one brand identity.

Concept

The core metaphor

Arima builds products that turn data into decisions. So instead of decorating banners with random tech graphics, I used a donut chart — a shape that inherently represents data — as the shared visual foundation across every hero banner.

Making each product stand out

The donut-chart background carries strong visual weight, so flat 2D graphics tended to get lost against it. For each product's central symbol, I built the composition around a 3D object whose depth pulls it forward, then unified everything under Arima's brand palette so every banner reads as one cohesive series.

Measured after updating the site's hero banners and features section.

[2]

Consistent branding Unified visual identity across all product pages.

Looking back

The system proved its value after launch: when the team needed a rolling event banner for the homepage hero, I could build it quickly using the same visual framework — no starting from scratch.

Looking forward to work together.
